Chaperone (Adult) Information

Chaperones Fee:  Free

Virtus Training: All chaperones attending the Eucharistic Youth Rally must have taken the Diocesan “Protecting Our Children  Virtus Training.  Contact

Chaperones:

1) Chaperones must be at least 21 years of age.

2) Adult/Youth Ratio: 1:7 If you have three or more of the same gender in your group, you will need to have that same gender chaperone. Ex. 12 teens: 7 girls, 5 boys – you need one female and one male. Contact the rally youth office for more information.

3) Chaperones are expected to oversee and assist the youth under their care, especially during the talks, breaks, Holy Hour, Mass, and at meals.

4) Chaperones/Youth Ministers/Parish Reps:  We are asking for your help with our small groups. We plan to have each parish lead their own small groups.  Individuals or small groups will put together.

Groups:

1) Groups can not leave the building for any reason once the Rally has begun.  Groups will not be allowed off-site for any reason.    

2) Groups are responsible for the rooms that are lodging in.  Any case of damage will be billed to the parish at large.

CATHOLIC VENDORS:  Catholic Vendors (rally speakers, local Catholic store “McCarthy’s Emporium”  - music, books, t-shirts and other youth related items, and other artists) will be on display throughout the weekend.  Please remind your teens to bring money if they so desire.

ADULT LOUNGE:   We have provided the school library as the adult hospitality lounge throughout the weekend.  Refreshments, juice and drinks will be available.   No teens are allowed in this room at any time.

First Aid : A nurse will be available at the first aid station all throughout the event for any participant in need of care.  All prescription medications must be checked-in with the nurse upon arriving at the rally. If any one in your group has special health concerns or dietary needs, make sure the nurse is informed.  Refrigeration is available for any medication that requires it.

Wristbands: Each participant will receive a special wrist band upon arriving at the rally. These bands must be worn AT ALL TIMES throughout the day. It identifies you as a participant at the rally.

THERE IS NO SMOKING WHAT-SO-EVER IN THE BUILDING.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  IT IS THE LAW.
